What This Policy Covers
This policy explains what information Black Opulence Magazine collects when you read the site, join the newsletter, or send us a form, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers blackopulencemagazine.com only. We keep it short because we try to collect very little.
What We Collect
Newsletter. When you subscribe to Sunday Gold we store your email address and the page you signed up from, so we know which of our pages is working.
Forms. When you use the contact form, the Get Featured form, the directory listing form, or a review form, we store what you type into it, which can include your name, email address, business details, and your message. We use it to answer you, to review a submission, and to run the directory.
Reading the site. We do not currently run analytics software, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies, and the site does not store anything about you in your browser. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.
Third Parties You May Meet
Some pages load fonts from Google Fonts and product images from Amazon, which means those companies receive your IP address and browser details when the page loads. When you click an Amazon affiliate link, Amazon may set its own cookies to credit our referral. We do not control those cookies. Amazon and Google describe their practices in their own privacy policies. If we add analytics or advertising tools later, we will update this page first and say what they collect.
How We Use Your Information
We use what you give us to send the newsletter you asked for, to reply to messages, to review and publish directory and feature submissions, and to keep the site secure. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade our email list.
Who Can See It
Your information is stored with our hosting and database provider, which processes it on our behalf. We share it with someone else only if the law requires it or if you ask us to, for example when a business owner asks us to connect them with a reader. Directory and Get Featured listings you submit are shown publicly once approved, so do not put anything in them you want private.
How Long We Keep It
We keep newsletter addresses until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you. We keep form submissions for as long as they are useful for the purpose you sent them, and then delete them.
Your Choices
You can unsubscribe from any email with the link at the bottom of it. You can also ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it by writing to editors@blackopulencemagazine.com. We will answer within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law, and we will honor them.
Children
The magazine is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. For a significant change, such as adding analytics, we will also say so in the newsletter.
Contact
Questions about privacy go to editors@blackopulencemagazine.com. You can also reach us through the contact page.
