Black Opulence Magazine is an independent publication launched in 2026. These standards describe how we work so you can read us with confidence.
How Stories Are Chosen
We publish stories that serve our readers, Black millennials building luxury, wealth, and legacy with intention. A story earns a place when it is useful, true, and consistent with the magazine’s conviction that wealth is a tool for freedom, generosity, and legacy rather than consumption. Editorial choices are made by the magazine; advertisers and sponsors do not select, edit, or approve our independent coverage.
Sources Are Named and Linked
We name our sources and link to the original material wherever we can: a study, a public record, a company’s own announcement, a previously published report. When a source cannot be named, we say so and explain why. We do not present a press release as our own reporting, and we do not invent quotes, people, or data.
Errors Are Corrected Openly
When we get something wrong, we fix it and we say so. Corrections are noted on the article itself rather than quietly deleted, with a dated note describing what changed and why. See our Corrections Policy for how to report an error.
Paid Placements Are Always Labelled
Any paid placement, whether a sponsored feature, a directory listing, an advertisement, or an affiliate link, carries a visible label. Sponsored features are marked as such on the article and in our schema. Affiliate links are disclosed under our Affiliate Disclosure. If money changed hands for a placement, you will know.
Money Never Buys Favourable Coverage
To be plain: money paid to Black Opulence Magazine never buys favorable coverage. A business may pay for a sponsored feature or a directory listing, both clearly labeled, but it cannot pay for a positive review, a ranking, or an endorsement presented as independent editorial judgment. Our opinions are not for sale, and no payment secures a particular tone, conclusion, or rating.
Independence
We are independently owned and operated. We have no parent publisher and no inherited masthead, and we disclose the business relationships that fund the magazine: advertising, sponsored features, and affiliate commissions. That way you can weigh what you read. If you believe a story did not meet these standards, tell us.
